Mount Magog, standing at 856 meters, offers a challenging 7 km return hike through Stirling Range National Park. The trail begins at a picnic area surrounded by tall wandoo trees, crossing a creek and meandering through open country. As hikers ascend, the path becomes steeper, requiring some rock scrambling to reach the summit. The summit rewards climbers with panoramic views of the surrounding peaks, including Talyuberlup Peak. The area is renowned for its diverse flora, with over 1,500 plant species, including unique wildflowers. Visitors should be prepared for rapid weather changes and are advised to carry sufficient water and wear appropriate clothing. Pets are not permitted in the park.
