
Mallacoota Aerodrome, situated approximately 7 km southwest of Mallacoota on Betka Road, serves as a vital hub for various aviation activities. The aerodrome features two Code 2B runways: 07/25 (881 meters, gravel) and 18/36 (1,028 meters, asphalt). Additional facilities include a small terminal building, three privately owned hangars, a historic wartime bunker museum, and a Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) airbase. The aerodrome operates a 24/7 self-service refueling facility accepting major credit cards. It accommodates emergency services such as Air Ambulance Victoria, Victorian Police Airwing, and aerial firefighting support, as well as local and visiting recreational flying, charter flights, and Angel Flight services. Pilots are encouraged to contact the Aerodrome Reporting Officers prior to arrival for parking instructions. The aerodrome has adopted a "No Drone Zone" policy, with visible signage around its perimeter. Drone operators wishing to fly drones in close proximity to the aerodrome are encouraged to download the Open Sky App.
