Macumba Station, situated approximately 39 kilometers northeast of Oodnadatta and 201 kilometers east of Marla in South Australia, spans 11,063 square kilometers, making it the state's third-largest station after Anna Creek and Innamincka. The terrain features sandhills, mulga woodlands, and watercourses with redgums, including the Macumba River, Stevenson Creek, and Alberga Creek. Established before 1883, it has experienced various ownerships and historical events, including floods and droughts. Currently, Macumba Station operates as a cattle station under the ownership of Australian Outback Beef, a joint venture between Gina Reinhart and China's Shanghai CRED.
