Lake Ewlyamartup, located approximately 18.8 km east of Katanning along the Katanning–Nyabing Road, is a tranquil 100-hectare freshwater lake renowned for its natural beauty and rich birdlife. Home to over 95 bird species, including the rare Hooded Plover, it attracts birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts. Visitors can enjoy picnic tables, shaded seating, sheltered BBQ facilities, accessible toilets, a bird hide for wildlife observation, and a boat ramp for non-motorised watercraft. The area also offers 24-hour self-contained camping (without power or water). Please note, there are no bins on-site; visitors are encouraged to take all rubbish with them to maintain the area's pristine condition.
