
The Karuah Rural Fire Brigade, located at 7 Wattle Street, Karuah, NSW 2324, is a dedicated volunteer unit of the New South Wales Rural Fire Service. Comprising both men and women from the local community, members commit to protecting and serving the area 24/7, 365 days a year. They regularly train to combat bush and grass fires, manage building fires, and respond to motor vehicle accidents. Training sessions are held every second Sunday at 9 am, and general meetings occur on the first Wednesday of each month at 7 pm. For those interested in joining, attending these sessions or contacting Lower Hunter Fire Control at (02) 4015 0000 is encouraged.
