Sheean Avenue serves as the main thoroughfare from the western entrance to the primary access control point for entry into HMAS Cerberus. This avenue is named in honor of Ordinary Seaman Edward 'Teddy' Sheean VC, the first member of the Royal Australian Navy to be awarded Australia's highest honor for valor. The entrance stands as a tribute to his bravery and welcomes future generations of Navy and ADF personnel into service and HMAS Cerberus—the Cradle of the Navy.
