Hamelin Station Reserve, located near Hamelin Pool in Western Australia, is a conservation area that offers a unique outback experience. Once a sheep station, it now provides unpowered camping sites and restored shearers' quarters for accommodation. Visitors can enjoy the surrounding semi-arid landscape, rich in wildlife and cultural significance. The reserve is situated near the Shark Bay World Heritage Area, home to the world's best-known colony of living stromatolites, dating back 3,000 years. Guests can explore the Boolagoorda Trail, a 1.4-kilometer loop walk that leads to a 200-meter boardwalk, offering views of these remarkable formations. The area is also known for its stunning sunrises, sunsets, and starry night skies. Please note that the reserve operates seasonally, typically from April to October, and is closed during the summer months.
