Gunlom Campground, nestled in Kakadu National Park's Mary River region, offers a serene retreat with well-maintained facilities. The campground features non-powered sites suitable for tents, caravans, and camper trailers, equipped with picnic tables, barbecues, and toilet amenities. A 20-minute walk leads to the top of Gunlom Falls, where visitors can enjoy spectacular swimming spots, photo opportunities, and sunset views. The bottom pool is popular for swimming but caution is advised due to crocodiles. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis, with fees collected by the on-site manager. Access requires a 4WD vehicle, and the nearest hub is Cooinda, approximately 48 km away.
