
Eggs and Bacon Bay is a tranquil coastal community in Tasmania's Huon Valley, approximately 44 km south of Hobart and 17 km from Cygnet. Covering 1.24 square kilometers, it is home to 124 residents as of the 2021 census. The bay features a 400-meter-long, 300-meter-deep beach rated in the lowest Surf Life Saving Australia Beachsafe hazard category (level 1). Amenities include parking, public toilets, picnic tables, and a boat ramp. The area's unique name is believed to derive from the yellow and red eggs-and-bacon flowers native to the region.
