The reserve also features a military history dating back to 1932, with attractions like the Darwin Military Museum and the gun turret precinct. Lake Alexander provides safe, year-round saltwater swimming, while the area is home to over 200 wallabies and diverse wildlife. The reserve is open daily, with closing times at 9:30 pm on weekdays and 10:30 pm on weekends and public holidays.
