Doctors Rocks is a picturesque coastal locality situated approximately 8 kilometers east of Wynyard in Tasmania's North West region. This serene area is renowned for its basalt outcrop, which extends 100 meters into Bass Strait and rises to a height of 20 meters. The surrounding beach stretches 300 meters westward, offering stunning views and a tranquil environment. The area is also home to a significant population of little penguins, particularly on the immediate west and eastern sides of the rocks. The name "Doctors Rocks" is believed to have originated from Dr. Thomas Wilson, a local medical practitioner who resided in the area. The locality was officially gazetted in 1966.
