Cultana Range Control

Cultana Range Control oversees operations within the expansive Cultana Training Area, Australia's largest military training facility, covering approximately 2,093 square kilometers. Located about 370 kilometers northwest of Adelaide, this area offers diverse terrain and climate conditions ideal for year-round training of armored, mechanized, and cavalry forces. The facility supports a range of activities, including combined arms maneuvering, live ammunition exercises, air mobile and airborne operations, unmanned aerial system training, and electronic warfare exercises. The recent $85 million expansion ensures the Australian Defence Force can effectively prepare soldiers for current and future operational environments.
