The Clare State Emergency Service (SES) Unit, located at 42 New Road, Clare SA 5453, is a dedicated volunteer-based organization committed to safeguarding the Clare community. Operating 24/7, the unit responds to a variety of emergencies, including extreme weather events like floods, storms, and heatwaves, as well as road crashes and rescues in marine, swiftwater, vertical, and confined spaces. They also assist the South Australia Police in land search operations and traffic management, and support the Country Fire Service during major bushfires. Training sessions are held every Thursday at 7:30 pm, welcoming new volunteers to join their mission of building a safe and resilient community.
