Nestled under a canopy of gums and Carnarvon fan palms, the Carnarvon Gorge camping area offers a picturesque and semi-secluded retreat. Accessible by both 2WD and 4WD vehicles, it features 35 grassed, numbered campsites equipped with picnic tables and free gas barbecues. Flushing toilets are available, and wheelchair-accessible facilities are provided. Please note, there are no shower facilities, and open fires are prohibited to preserve the natural environment. Mobile phone coverage is limited, so it's advisable to bring all necessary supplies. Camping is permitted during the Queensland Easter, Winter, and Spring school holidays; at other times, the area is closed to camping. All water must be treated before drinking.
