Capricornia Correctional Centre, situated 20 kilometers north of Rockhampton, Queensland, offers secure and residential accommodations for high-security prisoners and a farm complex for low-security inmates. In 2021, a $241 million expansion increased its capacity to 758 cells and 945 beds, enhancing facilities such as industries, kitchen, laundry, prisoner processing, and the medical unit. The centre provides a wide range of programs and services, fostering an environment dedicated to integrated vocational education and training. Affiliated work camps include Springsure, Clermont, and Blackall.
