The Burton Mine Security Gate, located on Ellensfield Road in Burton, Queensland, serves as the primary access point to the Burton Coal Mine Complex. This complex encompasses multiple mining operations, including Ellensfield South and Plumtree North, all feeding into a central Coal Handling and Preparation Plant (CHPP). The CHPP has a nameplate capacity of 5.5 million tonnes per annum, processing both coking and thermal coal.
