Established in 1952, Birdwood Country Fire Service is a dedicated volunteer brigade serving the Birdwood community in South Australia's Adelaide Hills. Operating from 67 Shannon Street, the station is equipped with two primary appliances: Birdwood 24, a 4WD general-purpose appliance with a 2,500-litre water capacity, and Birdwood 34P, a 4WD light pumper capable of holding 3,000 litres of water. The brigade responds to a variety of incidents, including grass and structure fires, road crash rescues, and storm damage. Training sessions are held every Tuesday at 7:30 pm, welcoming new recruits and cadets.
