Established in 1962, the Ben Lomond Ski Patrol is Tasmania's second-oldest ski patrol, dedicated to providing world-class first-aid and emergency care to the Ben Lomond community and visitors during the ski season. As a member of the Australian Ski Patrol Association, patrollers maintain their skills through regular training and re-certification days. Operating from July through mid-September, the patrol is stationed at Ben Lomond to respond to medical emergencies on the slopes. The patrol's headquarters, located between the existing HQ and the bottom of the 30-second tow, serves as a base for patrollers and a shelter for the public.
