Bawinanga Aboriginal Corporation, based in Maningrida, serves approximately 4,000 Aboriginal people across 32 homelands in West Arnhem Land. Their services encompass housing and construction, including building and renovating homes, managing essential services, and maintaining staff housing. The Bawinanga Rangers oversee land and sea management, while cultural initiatives include Maningrida Arts and Culture, Bábbarra Women's Centre, and the Djómi Museum. Economic activities feature Maningrida Wildfoods, a nursery, mud brick production, Barlmarrk Supermarket, mechanical workshops, and the Wild Foods Café. Community programs include the Community Development Program, Community Patrol, Money Management, and the Remote School Attendance Strategy. Infrastructure maintenance is managed through the Civil Works Program, ensuring roads and airstrips are well-maintained.
