Barwon Heads, VIC

The Barwon Heads Fire Brigade, established on July 1, 1936, is a dedicated team of approximately 25 volunteer firefighters committed to safeguarding the Barwon Heads community. Operating from their station at 30 Sheepwash Road, they respond to a diverse range of emergencies, including house and grass fires, motor vehicle accidents, gas leaks, and more. The brigade also extends its support to neighboring communities on the Bellarine Peninsula and participates in larger-scale bushfire responses both within Victoria and interstate. In addition to emergency response, the brigade actively engages in community education, offering fire safety presentations and promoting initiatives like smoke alarm awareness and barbecue fire safety. Their dedication is further exemplified by their involvement in fundraising efforts to enhance their facilities and equipment, ensuring they remain well-prepared to serve and protect the community effectively.
