The Barwon Heads Film Society, established in 2000, offers a diverse annual program of contemporary films, including Australian, foreign language, and documentaries. Screenings are held monthly from February to November, on the last Thursday of each month, starting at 7:45 pm at the Barwon Heads Community Hall, located at 79 Hitchcock Avenue. As a non-commercial organization, the society requires attendees to hold an annual membership, with options for both full and three-month memberships. Visitors are welcome to attend up to two screenings before becoming members. The society is wheelchair accessible and offers volunteer opportunities.
