The 22 km rail network connects Herberton Railway Station to Atherton's Platypus Park Railway Station. In Herberton, visitors can explore the restored Herberton Railway Station, Railway Museum, Sleeper Cutters Display Shed, Railway Refreshment Room, and the main workshop and maintenance center. At Platypus Park in Atherton, attractions include the Station Café, model railway display, retail shop, and maintenance facilities. The organization offers steam train rides on select weekends, providing a nostalgic journey through the scenic landscape. Additionally, the Railway Refreshment Room serves meals in a 1940s-style setting, enhancing the historical experience. Ongoing restoration projects aim to expand the operational network and preserve Queensland's railway heritage for future generations.
