Willy Nilly Art, located at 415 Argent Street in Broken Hill, is the studio and gallery of self-taught artist Amanda Johnson, a fourth-generation resident whose work is deeply inspired by her hometown. The gallery showcases vibrant paintings by Amanda and her daughter Lauren, capturing the essence of Broken Hill's people, places, and colors. Visitors can explore a range of art-related gifts and homewares, including locally inspired T-shirts featuring Amanda's original artworks and hand-painted decor. As a working artist, Amanda often paints in the studio at the back of the gallery, offering visitors the opportunity to engage with her creative process. The gallery is open Tuesday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Saturday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Works can be commissioned and shipped anywhere. Amanda is also a proud Lifeline ambassador, with a self-portrait displayed in the gallery.
