Spy Photography, located at 180 Darling Street in Balmain, NSW, is led by Sydney-born photographer John Doughty. Since 1980, John has honed his skills in large format film and studio lighting, working with prominent clients like Swatch Watch USA, Rolling Stone Magazine, and Bill Silva Presents in San Diego. In 1990, he established a thriving studio in Australia, focusing on product and corporate portrait photography for companies such as Apple, HP Compaq, DEC, Microsoft, Symantec, Sony, and Telstra. John has also photographed numerous celebrities, including Bill Gates, President Clinton, Tony Bennett, Dolly Parton, and Sting. Embracing digital imaging in 1999, he continuously researches new techniques. His Balmain studio features a three-sided cyclorama, allowing him to efficiently complete any assignment with professionalism.
