Old Dundas Town

Old Dundas Town, established during the late 19th-century gold rush, was once a bustling community with a post office, shops, and hotels. Today, it stands as a historic site along the 25 km Dundas Coach Road Heritage Trail, featuring 10 stopping places that showcase the life and times of the early settlers. Highlights include the remains of the old ghost town, Dundas Rocks—ancient rock formations over 550 million years old—and the lone grave of Stanley Whitehead, a poignant reminder of the area's past. The trail is suitable for 4WD and AWD vehicles, offering a unique glimpse into Western Australia's gold mining history.
