Mitchell Falls Camping Ground

Mitchell Falls Campground, nestled within Mitchell River National Park, offers a serene bush camping experience at the end of Mitchell Falls Track, adjacent to Mertens Creek. Accessible exclusively by four-wheel drive, the campground features designated areas for campers with and without generators. Each campsite includes a fire ring, with firewood collection permitted only before entering the park; visitors are encouraged to use portable gas or fuel stoves. Amenities include sealed vault pit toilets and a swimming area downstream of the walk trail's start. An Uunguu Visitor Pass is required for park entry, and additional permits may apply for certain activities and transport modes. Camping fees are determined by the Traditional Owners, the Wunambal Gaambera people, and are payable on-site. Please note, dogs and other pets are not permitted at this campground.
