Madfish Bay, nestled within William Bay National Park in Denmark, Western Australia, offers a serene coastal retreat. This secluded beach, surrounded by unique rock formations, provides a tranquil environment for relaxation and exploration. The turquoise waters are ideal for swimming, snorkeling, and fishing, with species like whiting, bream, and salmon commonly found. Madfish Island, just offshore, creates a semi-sheltered lagoon in summer and a dramatic wave spectacle in winter. As a key habitat for sea and shorebirds, it's best to observe from a distance to protect nesting sites. Access is via a gradual staircase from the car park, leading directly to the beach. Parking can be limited during peak periods, so visiting outside school and public holidays may offer a more peaceful experience. Camping is not permitted within the park.
