Lou Walpole, known locally as "Lou the Photographer," is a professionally accredited photographer with over 25 years of experience, specializing in capturing timeless moments of people, places, and things. Serving the Dorrigo and Bellingen Shire areas, her work has been nationally recognized, including being a semi-finalist in the Head On Portrait Prize and a finalist in the Olive Cotton Award for Photographic Portraiture. Lou operates from her studio at 9 Cudgery Street, Dorrigo, with shopfront hours on Wednesdays from 12–5 PM and Saturdays from 10:30 AM–2 PM. Appointments outside these hours are available upon request. When not at the shop or on location, she works from her custom photography and fine art printing studio. Lou has collaborated with various clients, including Marrickville Council, Inner West Council, Mint Pictures | SBS, and the National Folk Festival.
