Hawkins Lookout, located just off Old Northern Road in Wisemans Ferry, offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Hawkesbury River and surrounding valley. This picturesque spot features a spacious lookout platform, picnic tables, and a barbecue area, making it an ideal place to relax and enjoy the scenery. The site also includes a small car park for easy access. In 2018, the lookout underwent significant improvements, including the addition of a Corten steel artwork of a heritage bus, honoring Fred Hawkins, the bus driver after whom the lookout is named. Fred Hawkins operated a bus service from Windsor to Wisemans Ferry via Pitt Town in the 1930s and would stop at this location to allow passengers to take in the stunning views.
