Fogg Dam Conservation Reserve

Fogg Dam Conservation Reserve, located approximately 70 km east of Darwin along the Arnhem Highway, is a year-round accessible wetland sanctuary. The reserve features boardwalks and observation platforms that offer close-up views of diverse bird species, including magpie geese, egrets, and jacanas. The best time to experience the birdlife is from the end of March until the start of October. The Pandanus Lookout walk provides panoramic views of the dam, especially captivating during sunrise and sunset. Visitors can also enjoy walking trails through monsoon and floodplain habitats, making it a haven for wildlife enthusiasts and photographers alike.
