Established in 1956, Essendon Camera Club offers a welcoming environment for photography enthusiasts of all levels. Located at 3-5 Price Street, Essendon, the club meets on the second and fourth Mondays of each month, starting at 7:30 pm. The second Monday features competitions for prints and digitally projected images, providing members with valuable feedback from external judges. The fourth Monday is dedicated to activities such as guest speakers, demonstrations, or visits to photography-related facilities. Additionally, the club organizes weekend outings and special education nights throughout the year to further enhance members' skills and knowledge. For those new to photography, the club offers an "Introduction to Photography" course, covering the fundamentals of using a digital camera and moving beyond the 'Auto' mode. This five-week course includes focused classes, a practical outing, and a full year of club membership. Essendon Camera Club is affiliated with the Victorian Association of Photographic Societies, ensuring a connection with a broader community of photographers. Whether you're looking to improve your photography skills, participate in competitions, or connect with fellow enthusiasts, Essendon Camera Club provides a supportive and engaging platform for all.
