Nestled on the northwestern shore of Dove Lake in Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park, the Dove Lake Boatshed is a historic timber structure built in 1940 by Lionel Connell, the first ranger at Cradle Mountain. Constructed primarily from King Billy pine, the boatshed originally housed Huon pine boats used by tourists until the 1960s. Restored in the early 1980s, it remains largely unaltered from its original design. The boatshed, set against the backdrop of Cradle Mountain, is a popular subject for photographers and a must-visit landmark for visitors exploring the area.
