Established in 1999, the Artists of Ampilatwatja community, located 325 km northeast of Mparntwe (Alice Springs) in the Northern Territory, is situated on Aherrenge country, the land of the Alyawarre people. Their artwork is uniquely distinct, paying homage to traditional bush medicine and depicting the significance of waterholes, soaks, mountains, and sand hills. The artists' paintings reflect a deep connection to their country, showcasing the traditional knowledge of dreaming and the land. Their distinctive style features fine dots and bright, figurative representations of the desert landscape.
