魔 𝓙𝓸𝓾𝓲𝓼𝓼𝓪𝓷𝓬𝓮 (魔 (ma)/mang/kanyá) is a queer and genderflux Việt-Filipino refugee experimental performance artist, specialising in gorelesque. 魔 has always been enamoured by turning one’s insides outside, and thus, body-horror burlesque was born. 魔 fuses the grotesquierie of body horror with the eroticism of stripping by experimenting with SFX makeup and technology to simulate self mutilation such as skin peeling, muscle/fat/organ rupture, and removal of insides. Mang performance art revolves around one thesis: when somebody becomes more naked than naked, is that still seductive? When does stripping stop becoming burlesque and start becoming horror? Or, can the two intertwine and become one? After all, isn’t that what jouissance is all about? NB: Rate displayed is the minimum rate for under 10 min of improvisation/freestyle to music set by the client. The rate will increase for longer stage/performance time; more complex set/prop/costume design; sing and strip/dance; sourcing live band etc. Please enquire for a more accurate quote.
