Catalina is a virtuosic classical and contemporary cellist and composer, based in Wollongong/ Sydney. Her performance is not only classical , but can be described as electric, incorporating pop, middle eastern, tango and gypsy music. Catalina is a Masters degree graduate in music studies, majoring in Cello at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Her work includes compositions with a focus on mixing cultural and folk music inspiring her personal expression and approaches. She has worked with internationally known composers like Elena Kats-Chernin, Ann Carr-Boyd, Gerard Brophy, Marcel Khalife and many others.
