Following a successful AFL career with the Brisbane Bears and Brisbane Lions, Richard transitioned seamlessly into the media world, becoming a familiar face and voice for sports fans across Queensland. He has been a long-standing personality with the Seven Network, appearing on programs including The Great South East, Creek to Coast and Seven News, while also calling AFL matches for radio networks including Triple M.  Known affectionately as “Champs,” Richard built his media reputation on authenticity, humour and the ability to connect with people from all walks of life.
