
Kylie Captain is a proud Gamilaroi woman, best-selling author, and nationally recognised educator and speaker.* With over two decades of experience in education, leadership, and community services, Kylie has become a powerful voice in Aboriginal Education and cultural capability. She is the Founder and Director of Dream Big Education Wellbeing & Consulting, a 100% Aboriginal-owned and Supply Nation Certified business, dedicated to empowering students, educators, and organisations across Australia. Kylie is the President of the Aboriginal Studies Association and a Board Director for NAPCAN, where she advocates for education, early intervention, and the safety and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and communities. She is also a passionate storyteller, having authored three transformative books that centre resilience, leadership, and dreaming big – including her latest, launched at the Sydney Opera House in 2024. From keynote stages to classrooms, Kylie shares her personal and professional journey with heart and honesty. Her work draws on her lived experiences, educational leadership, and cultural knowledge to inspire meaningful change. Her sessions leave audiences motivated to reflect, reconnect with their purpose, and take action – one student, one school, and one community at a time. Kylie was recently honoured as a finalist for the NSW Aboriginal Woman of the Year, a testament to her impact and unwavering commitment to truth-telling, reconciliation, and educational excellence.
