Olympian, 2x Commonwealth Games gold medallist, and Australian record holder over the 20km racewalk. I balance a rigorous training schedule with medical school, which has forced me to learn a lot of skills that translate to multiple sectors and audiences. These include: tailoring our environment for success, responding to feedback, understanding the mind to control cognition, values-based motivation, embracing failure, balancing multiple commitments, dialling in our nutrition, and articulating our ‘why’ factor. I love being up on stage and connecting with audiences - often handing out pieces of my Australian uniform as inspiration for the crowd.
