Chris Blowes

2x Australian Adaptive Surfing Champion, Chris Blowes is a shark attack survivor with an inspirational story. In 2015 Chris was surfing near Port Lincoln when he was attacked by a Great White Shark. He had lost a leg and had serious lacerations to his left flank. Chris should have died – but he didn’t. Chris is now an above knee amputee and disability advocate, constantly challenging the stereotypes associated with disability. He is the co-author of the book ‘Caught Inside’ and was named Top 10 Inspirational People in South Australia in 2015.
