She might be referred to as Action Alexa on instagram, but in real life she calls herself a Cockroach - a battle hardened little critter who brings new meaning to being "hard to kill". In 2017, she died on an operating table during a routine hip replacement, before re-emerging to complete "The Mongol Derby (the longest and toughest horse race in the world), finishing dead last but winning the Nomad Award for resilience in the process. Her recent triumphs on Discovery Channel’s highest rated reality series, Naked and Afraid (Season 17 & Apocalypse) saw her survive both 21 days in the Colombian jungle and 35 days in the South African Savannah, showcasing her mental toughness, compassion and infectious humour which quickly captivated audiences worldwide.
