The Wagga Wagga branch of the Sporting Shooters Association of Australia (SSAA) offers a comprehensive shooting facility in Big Springs, NSW. Established in 1988, the club boasts a large clubhouse equipped with solar power, toilets, and showers. Shooting enthusiasts can enjoy a 20-position benchrest range extending to 500 meters, an 8-position field rifle/pistol range up to 200 meters, an 8-position rimfire metallic silhouette range, and a 5-stand shotgun range. Regular competitions are held in disciplines such as Shotgun, Black Powder, Rimfire and Centrefire Field Rifle, Military Rifle, Rimfire Metallic Silhouette, Lever Action, Benchrest, Fly shooting up to 500 meters, and Pistol. The club welcomes visitors and casual shooters, with range hours on Saturdays from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Sundays from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and Wednesdays from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The range is closed on public holidays and long weekends. For those interested in obtaining a shooter’s license, the club provides training courses. Membership fees are $20.00 for adults, $10.00 for juniors, and $10.00 for pensioners/Gold card holders. Visitor/non-member fees are $25.00, and shotgun fees are $30.00 (no discounts).
