Sassafras Nuts is a commercial chestnut and walnut farm nestled in the Budawang Ranges, approximately 50 km southwest of Nowra, NSW. With over 25 years of experience, they cultivate premium quality nuts, including easy-peel varieties like Morena, Red Spanish, Purtons Pride, Bouche de Betizac, De Coppi, and Sassafras Red chestnuts, as well as Lara and Fernette walnuts. Visitors are welcome during the autumn harvest season to pick their own nuts or purchase pre-packed selections from the on-site farm shop. The farm also offers a range of local arts, crafts, flowers, and plants, showcasing products from local artists. For those interested in a more immersive experience, the Wellness Farm program provides a holistic approach to mental health and wellbeing, involving activities such as farm work, creative pursuits, and personal development workshops.
