Pine Lake Walk is a 30-minute return, 800-meter trail located on the Central Plateau of Tasmania. This easy walk leads to a small alpine lake fringed by ancient pencil pines, one of Tasmania's rarest tree species. The track is mostly on raised boardwalk, making it suitable for all ages and abilities. However, at an altitude of around 1,200 meters, severe weather conditions can occur at any time of the year. The walk is accessible directly from the Highland Lakes Road, 33 kilometers south of Deloraine. Please note, there are no facilities at Pine Lake; picnic and toilet facilities are located approximately 30 minutes away at Liffey Falls or Liawenee.
