Established in 1982, it features diverse plantings, including Western Australian species, general natives, and Fleurieu Peninsula-specific flora. Flowering begins in mid-winter, peaks in early spring, and continues into late summer. The reserve offers wheelchair-friendly paths, a bird hide, picnic areas, and a gazebo, making it ideal for leisurely visits and small outdoor functions. Managed by dedicated volunteers, Nangawooka is open daily from dawn to dusk, with free entry and a gold coin donation appreciated.
