Lachlan River Campground, nestled in Kalyarr National Park near Hay, offers a serene riverside retreat among towering river red gums. This secluded campground features four spacious sites, each accommodating up to six people, ideal for tent camping, camper trailers, and caravans. Amenities include picnic tables, wood and gas barbecues, and non-flush toilets. Visitors can enjoy fishing, swimming, and paddling in the Lachlan River, or explore the Kalyarr Cultural Trail through riverside woodlands and open plains. The area is home to red kangaroos, emus, and wedge-tailed eagles, providing excellent wildlife viewing opportunities. Evenings offer breathtaking sunsets and clear, star-filled skies. Please note, there are no camping fees, but a $6 booking fee applies.
