Ferny Creek Ornamental Gardens Reserve

Nestled in the heart of the Dandenong Ranges, the Ferny Creek Ornamental Gardens Reserve spans four hectares of meticulously curated landscapes. The gardens showcase extensive collections of rhododendrons, magnolias, azaleas, and proteas, complemented by rare and unusual trees and shrubs. Visitors can explore themed areas such as the Calluna Collection, rock gardens, and the Golden Garden, which celebrated the Society's 50th anniversary in 1982. Guided tours are available during shows, offering insights into the diverse plant species and horticultural practices. The gardens also host various events, including the annual Plant Collectors’ Expo, featuring over 40 vendors and exhibitors.
