Dangars Falls picnic area, nestled in Oxley Wild Rivers National Park, offers a picturesque bush setting on the Northern Tablelands near Armidale. Visitors are treated to dramatic views over deep ravines and gorges, with the 120-meter waterfall plunging into the ravine, creating mist and rainbows after rainfall. In spring, the cliff tops are adorned with vibrant wildflowers, some of which are quite tiny. The area features picnic tables, free gas/electric barbecues, and non-flush toilets. After a leisurely picnic, guests can enjoy the river, where children can wade and observe fish, or explore the nearby McDirtys walking track.
