Originally a newsagent, sports store, tobacconist, and seedsman, the business evolved over the years, becoming Avenell Brothers in 1913 when Frederick's brother Albert joined. In 1938, the store relocated to its current address at 96 Bourbong Street, Bundaberg Central, where it continues to operate today. The shop offers a curated selection of homewares, gifts, and collectibles, including Australian-made Erstwilder brooches and exclusive Polly Bobbin brooches. Avenell Bros is open Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
