Established in 1986 by Geoff Hardy, a fifth-generation member of the renowned Hardy wine family, the vineyard was the first substantial planting in the area. The cellar door, known as 'The Lakehouse,' provides stunning views of the lake and surrounding vineyards, creating a tranquil atmosphere for visitors. Guests can enjoy a selection of premium, single-estate wines, including Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Shiraz, and sparkling varieties. The venue is family and pet-friendly, offering outdoor picnic seating under birch trees. While there is no on-site restaurant, light cheese platters are available to complement wine tastings. K1 Wines has been recognized as one of Australia's top cellar door experiences by leading wine industry publications. The cellar door is open daily from 11 am to 4 pm, with bookings essential for tastings, especially for groups. The venue also hosts special events, including vineyard horse rides in partnership with Bluestone Equestrian Centre.
