Located approximately 200 km east of Esperance within the Nuytsland Nature Reserve, the Israelite Bay Telegraph Station was established in 1876 as part of the Overland Telegraph Line connecting Western Australia and South Australia. The station's main building, constructed in 1895, showcases impressive scale and architectural detail. The site includes Dimer’s Cottage, Brook’s Cottage, Cook’s Cottage, gravesites, and a series of ruins. Access is by 4WD only, with the last 80 km taking approximately two hours due to road conditions. The National Trust of Australia (WA) acquired the station in 1977, and it is recognized on national, state, and local heritage registers.
